This was a close game fought out under terrible conditions of very cold wind and incessant rain.  Both sides tried to play football but goal chances were few and far between.  Pensilva shaded the possession but Grampound's defence was immaculate, denying a good Pensilva side any real chances.  Grampound did create a few chance of their own in both halves and the team was exceptionally unlucky when the goalkeeper's foot managed to divert a goalbound shot over the bar shortly before the end.

Overall, Grampound's was a battling performance peppered with a few bits of inspired play but the gritty performace earned an important point.
